Marriage was not exactly a bed of roses for Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri, who first met each other at Pune's famous film institute, the mecca of film students in India, FTII. Having crossed 4 decades of being happily married, the love story of this superstar B-town couple is no less than an old wine which gets better with time.
Rajesh Khanna, who was Jaya’s very close friend, never approved of this relationship. He had warned Jaya many times against meeting Amitabh.
Amitabh & Jaya’s romance began at Pune Film Institute in early 1970s where Jaya first saw Amitabh. Jaya was a bright student at the FTII where one fine day K. Abbas, the famous film director arrived with his group of actors that included Amitabh Bachchan as well.
