7 Most Ridiculous Censor Board Cuts Of 2015
1) Hate Story 3
The Board denied the permission to use words like Sambhog and Bastard, which were both replaced with ‘Milan’ and ‘Rascal’ respectively. This could have easily been averted had the members received some ‘Sambhog-vidya’ in their schools!
2) Tamasha
Not only did they chop down Ranbir and Deepika’s kiss (much to Katrina’s amusement, if we may add), but they also beeped innocent words like ‘Saali!’
3) Calendar Girls
A song from Madhur Bhandarkar’s latest offering was deemed ‘Inappropriate for TV viewing’ simply because it featured 5 bikini-clad girls! Whaaaat?
4) Angry Indian Goddesses
The innocent ‘Dil Dola Re’ was interpreted as ‘Dildo La Re’ by the officials at the chopping boat- oops, Censor Board.
5) Angry Indian Goddesses
Is there anything wrong with the word ‘Lunch?’ It’s an innocuous little term which the Censor Boards thought too hot to handle. *Slow Claps*
6) Angry Indian Goddesses
Seems like the Censors had some vendetta against this film, because it has received some of the most ridiculous cuts ever. In this case, every single image of an Indian God/Goddess has been blurred! We are surprised they didn’t change the name to Angry Indian.
7) Honorary Mention: Happy Ending
Technically not from 2014, but it still deserves a mention because the words ‘A$$hole’ and ‘F#cker’ were deleted from the movie and instead replaced with Ass and Fokers. It’d have been better had the entire film been deleted, to be honest!
